Excerpts from The Wheel of Time Sand Mandala Visual Scripture of Tibetan Buddhism on the history, culture and significance of mandalas, how they’re created and why to develop my own from a place of understanding and respect, based on its origins.

Discovered a connection between the Kalachakra Tantra (as shown above, pg 25 – A Teaching for our Time) and speculative design found on the website invision. Terms defining speculative design from the book: Speculative Everything: Design, Dreaming, and Social Dreaming.
From the book: “[Speculative design] thrives on imagination and aims to open up new perspectives on what are sometimes called wicked problems, to create spaces for discussion and debate about alternative ways of being, and to inspire and encourage people’s imaginations to flow freely. Design speculations can act as a catalyst for collectively redefining our relationship to reality.”
Which is similar in principle to the Kalachakra Tantra in that it focuses on community and encourages spaces in which to better the world around us and work together.
